A message from Aidan, Chef-Director of Eleven98
Due to the current government regulations regarding the coronavirus outbreak, and for the safety and well-being of our guests and our team, Eleven98 is presently temporarily closed. The challenges we face as a business are further amplified because of the very essence of what we’re all about: “social dining”. The core foundation of our ethos is about sitting a bunch of strangers, often those on their travels from many different parts of the world, around one communal table and allowing the magic of food to bring them together as one.
At this time we are of course unable to offer the experience of our culinary journey through Hackney, but there is one thing that you can do to support us and the close network of local suppliers we work with. Perhaps you've been to Eleven98 in the past, maybe you've only just discovered us or were planning a visit before everything went crazy. If you're fortunate enough to be able to, we encourage you to consider purchasing a gift voucher. During this hiatus our vouchers are exempt from expiration and can be redeemed at a later date when Eleven98 will, with your help, be back up and running. When as a society we can all enjoy the pleasure of being social again. By doing this you’ll not only be supporting Eleven98 as a local small business, you’ll in turn be enabling us to continue supporting the many independent purveyors within the Hackney community that rely on our trade. Eleven98 gift vouchers can be purchased here.
We really can’t emphasise enough just how incredibly appreciated and valuable an act of good faith like supporting Eleven98 with gift vouchers would be at this challenging time. St Mary's Secret Garden, Growing Communities and many of the other local small businesses that we work so closely with are also facing the threat of closure, and we stand together in unity to get through this as a community. We’ll see each other soon in better times, while sharing great food, stories and laughter.
